This collaborative piece was created for Together/Apart, a Neuk Collective group exhibition, on show at Project Ability, 103 Trongate, Glasgow, 18th April – 23rd May 2026, opening hours 11-5 Wednesday – Saturday.

Ink drawing on tracing paper, walking score notes on twigs, cyanotype woodland objects, sound recording of each artist reading their walking score for each other, backgrounded by walking sounds, interactive walking score notes for visitors to take home and use on their next walk.
This work represents a connection: three months of emails, messages, Zoom calls and four walks taken simultaneously in different locations. Through experiments in photography, sound recordings, and video, we gathered materials and information. With this collection of work, we aimed to embody a rich process-based learning and collaboration between two artists exploring in parallel, generating material through rhythm and synchronicity.
A shared love for walking formed the basis for this collaboration. The idea of walking in tandem was not about geographical proximity but about intentional connection across distance. Through the creation of walking scores – a list of instructions for a walk – we walked together and apart.
These works are traces of a larger collaboration, one that has established a working relationship grounded in care, curiosity and shared perspectives, supporting each other to sit with uncertainty and ambiguity, exploring together late-discovered neurodivergent joy and creativity.
